Re: C19 THE effects opinion

I recently searched for some cannabis and covid-19 related information. Could You please provide Your opinion on the articles below?
Were you trying to compare THC and Alcohol because they are both used recreationally? They are very different things and I'm not sure why people often want to compare them. Like people will often talk about having to cut down on either, and they think it's easier for someone that consumes both.
One is not a substitute for the other. They have entirely different effects on your body.
Now to talk about articles... Technicaly? THC weakens the immune system. That's just how it works. For people with an auto-immune disorder, this could be a bonus. But, someone who is a regular THC user (probably smoker) may have slightly more "exercised" lungs than a non-smoker, and may possibly have a better fighting chance against the infection in the lungs. That's just a baseless idea (not even a hypothesis), though. I'm under the opinion that you shouldn't use THC while sick from anything, because it just takes longer for you to get better.
Alcohol... also keeps you from getting better, but I think for other reasons. It might weaken the immune system, not quite how THC does, but it literally kills cells... that's what alcohol does. There's a joke in my language that's
a bit less funny in English, but gets the point across: Guy goes to the doctor and says "Doctor, I've been sick for a couple weeks with no end in sight!" The doctor thinks for a moment and asks, "Hm. Have you been drinking?" and the guy responds, "Yes, but it doesn't help!"
For some, no amount of alcohol is ok. That's fine, more for me :). I'm under the "most things are fine, in moderation" philosophy, but the levels of moderation vary with each "thing".
