If I've read it correctly, WeedNet is currently only available as a QWK network.

Is it planned to make it available as a Fido-like network?

If it would be okay, I could try to create a gateway on my BBS - but it would be the first time that I try this :)
The network number 420 would be fitting, I guess :)

I dont know about setting up FTN networks, I would not be opposed to letting someone set that up for me...

I've set up my BBS as a FTN hub and connected my OpenXP point to it.

At least the messages are flowing in, so I hope this message is getting
out :)

I have no idea if sending NetMails between FTN and QWK is possible this
way (or if it is possible at all in QWK networks).

I think I've set up a basic hub that can gate the messages between QWK and FTN.
So if you like to connect, I can set you up.

Just mail me to negotiate the settings and a password:

FidoNet 2:240/5824.1
fsxNet 21:3/127.1
Internet acn (at) acn.wtf

My plan would be to use zone 420 and then region 1 for US, region 2 for Europe etc.

So my node is 420:2/1, as I'm in Germany :)

Anyone who would like to be the hub for US would then be 420:1/1.
If someone wants to be only a node and no hub, I would then give it
420:1/2 and wait for a hub to arrive :)

Next, I'll look into MakeNL etc. to create a nodelist :)

I didn't realize anna/acn were the same person.

Oh :) "acn" are my initials (Anna Christina Nass) and I use these as my handle most of the time. Sometimes also "acn128" :)

Oh, that's not so much in my opinion. I've just set up a BBS at the end of November 2020 and play around a little.
I think it's great that there still is a community in the BBS scene, especially in the smaller 'othernets'.

Oh, that's not so much in my opinion. I've just set up a BBS at the end
