I am preparing to upgrade my Desktop PC from Ubuntu 22.04LTS to
24.04LTS. I appreciate that a Clean Install is better than an Upgrade,
and it is what I have always done.
The reason for the intention to upgrade is that GNOME keeps crashing.
It is usually first indicated by my spreadsheet flashing madly, and
then I cannot do anything, the only fix being a hard shutdown.
Thankfully, everything seems to survive, but there is then a plethora
of GNOME damage reports to enable. It knows it fails, but keeps on
doing the same thing.
My laptop also has Ubuntu 22.04, and on the odd occasions when I use
it, it also suffers from the same problem.
Does anybody have any ideas?
