My Thunderbird spellchecker did not like 'Pimm's' but suggested 'Pimp's' instead. Who are these people?

Obviously non-U and not the sort of people we should be mixing with :-)

Today, it refused to let me write 'Bedfordshire', insisting that it
should be 'Hertfordshire'. Are there some more boundary changes in the
    offing?

Hertfordshire and Herefordshire I can understand getting mixed up, but Bedfordshire not even being allowed?

We routinely get post delivered to us - addressed to somewhere else!
Sometime in a nearby street. Sometimes miles away. Which indicates that it usually isn't actually the postie who gets to the door who causes the
    problems.

As you'd expect from that, some of our mail also fails to arrive.

....and some letters take so long to arrive that examples that contain a
bill to pay get here after the payment date. That said, these are often
ones sent out via non-RM businesses who exploit RM for the 'last mile'.

Yes, we've raised this with our 'political representatives'... and - after
a delay, of course - get an anodyne response... followed my 'business as usual'.
