Does anyone have the default clipboard setting to
    NOT "always save in history"

I had been puzzled why clipboard was always empty

    regards

Have you ever done the configuration on your
    Clipboard?
Have you increased the number of items your clipboard
    can contain?
Have you set the Maintain History across sessions?

There is help there in the configuration if you need it.

    Good luck...

    Yes I have now
My query was addressing the default inactivity of the clipboard, almost disabled by design and, until activated, part of a sub-menu on the task bar
