In hopes that the Fidoweb does what it's supposed to do ...
2:301/1 has been off the air for 36 hours now. The sysop itself, as well as the sysop occupying 2:30/0 (someone else), has been missing in action for at least half a year.
I've been trying to deal with this but other than Benoit there does not seem to be a live node in Switzerland anymore.
Experience has taught me that these magic nodes popping up after an absence of two decades or more and claiming "I can get you all the echomail you want", "I will route all the netmail for you". "I will operate a backbone that has it all" die a silent death after a while, some take more time than others.
I urge everybody to check their connection to whatever echo and provide for Fidoweb-style connections around this particular 2:301/1-node.
