    Title: Tortilla Traffic Jam
    Categories: Breads, Vegetables, Poultry, Herbs, Cheese
    Yield: 3 servings

    2 tb Olive oil
    1 c Minced onion
    1/4 c Green bell pepper; fine dice
    1/4 c Red bell pepper; fine dice
    1 tb Minced garlic
    3 c Tomato salsa
    4 oz Can chopped green chilies
    4 c Tortilla chips
    2 lb Boned, skinned chicken;
    - baked/roasted/cooked
    +=SEASONED WITH=+
    2 ts Emeril's South West Blend
    2 c Sour cream
    1/2 c Green onions; chopped
    2 c Monterey Jack cheese; grated
    1 c Cheddar cheese; grated

    Set oven @ 375ºF/190ºC.

    In a medium-size saute pan set over a medium-high heat,
    add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the onions,
    green peppers, and red peppers to the pan and sweat for
    4-5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender. Add the
    garlic to the pan and sauté for 1 minute. Remove from
    the heat and let cool.

    In a medium-size mixing bowl, add the salsa, green
    chilies, and the sautéed onions and peppers. Set aside
    for the casserole.

    Sprinkle 2 cups of the corn chips in the bottom of a
    casserole. Dice the chicken in 1/2" pieces. Add half the
    chicken to the casserole and cover with 1 1/2 cups of
    the salsa. Place 1 cup of sour cream on top of the salsa
    and sprinkle 1/4 cup of the green onions on top of the
    sour cream. Spread 1 cup of the grated Monterey Jack
    cheese and 1/2 cup of the Cheddar over the sour cream.

    Repeat the layering process finishing with the grated
    cheese, and place the cas- serole in the oven. Bake the
    casserole in the oven for 45 minutes and remove. Let
    cool for 10 minutes before serving.

    Oh, yeah, some of them do stick together. I meant "togetherness" as being welcome of others in the network. This echo, OTOH, always seems to be welcoming of new users.

    That's because of the prohibition on poly-ticks and religious debate.
    An d this is now I still remember back ion the early day. The Home_
    Cooking echo got started because of an A.R. moderator with a bee in her
    bonnet towards (I forget what the subject was) but Sharon Stevens began Home_Cooking as a "friendlier, more welcoming" echo. Other than the bulk
    recipe I post there and in "Recipes" almost all of the traffic is in
    this echo. I think I had two posts in Home_Cooking this year in response
    to one of my recipes. Longer ago than that in Recipes

    In the UK it's 9-9-9 which actually makes more sense as it's easier to
    dial without looking in a tense situaion. Bv)=

    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Casey Jones One Dish Supper
    Categories: Beef, Bread, Mushrooms
    Yield: 8 Servings

    1/2 lb Frozen white bread dough;
    - thawed
    1 1/2 lb Lean ground beef
    1/4 c Chopped onions
    4 oz Can sliced mushrooms;
    - drained
    8 oz Can tomato sauce
    2 tb Catsup
    1 ts Beef soup mix or beef
    - boullion granules
    1/4 ts Oregano
    1/4 ts Thyme
    1/4 ts Basil
    1/4 ts Parsley
    1/8 ts Black pepper
    1 lg Egg beaten
    Bacon flavored bits

    Brown beef and onions in Dutch oven. Drain if necessary.
    Add next 9 ingredients. Cover, simmer 15 minutes. Remove
    from stovetop and cool to warm.

    Divide dough into 20 pieces and place on top of warm beef
    mixture. Cover with clean towel and let rise 30 minutes
    or until pieces of bread dough have doubled in size.
    Lightly brush dough with beaten egg. Sprinkle with bacon
    flavored bits. Bake uncovered at 375oF for 25-30 minutes.

    Makes 8 servings.

    (Remaining bread dough can be made into rolls.)

    Censorbook? A trip to my Bing search gives me a lot about book censors
    and censorship. So, I sucked it up and did something I rarely do - went
    to a Google search. Same result.

    Couldn't find a censor recipe. So I hadda make do with this:

    Title: A.M.F (Adios Mother * Censored*)
    Categories: Booze, Citrus, Fruits
    Yield: 1 guzzle

    3/4 oz Vodka
    3/4 oz Gin
    3/4 oz Light rum
    3/4 oz Tequila
    3/4 oz Blue Curacao
    2 oz Sour mix
    1/2 oz Carbonated lemon-lime (7-Up)
    - beverage
    1 Lemon wedge
    1 Lime wedge
    1 Maraschino cherry

    Fill a pint with ice.

    Add vodka, gin, rum, tequila, curacao, sour and 7UP.

    Stir with a straw, garnish w/lemon, lime and cherry.

    Serve.

    This drink is a favorite of mine when I've had a bad day
    and just want one good stiff drink to put me in a better
    mood.

    I have some wonderful cookbooks, but now, if I'm looking for a recipe
    I'll google it - or give ChatGPT a list of ingredients in my kitchen and
    ask it what I could make out of that.

    Title: Can Opener Mexican Supper
    Categories: Five, Beef, Beans, Cheese, Salsa
    Yield: 2 Servings

    1 lb Dos Rios Taco meat chub
    15 oz Can Old El Paso refritoes
    - (beans) w/green chilies
    Shredded yellow cheese
    15 1/2 oz Jar Tostitos Brand Medium
    - Chunky Salsa
    Tortilla chips to scoop up
    - mixture

    Pull the wrapper of the frozen taco meat and drop into
    your baby crock pot. Open the beans and add as soon as
    the meat is thawed, Stir together and leave to cook on
    low until supper time.

    Scoop out your serving into a bowl and top with the
    shredded cheese. Nuke for 30 seconds to melt the
    cheese a bit and add salsa to your liking.

    Scoop up with tortilla chips or Fritos Scoops.

    Serves 2 w/leftovers

    Title: Bertha's Bridge Mix
    Categories: Snacks, Grains, Nuts
    Yield: 12 servings

    1 lb Butter
    1 tb Worcestershire
    1 tb Garlic salt
    4 c (ea) Corn, Rice & Wheat
    - Chex
    4 c Kix cereal
    4 c Traditional Cheerios
    6 oz Bag bugles
    7 Bag pretzel sticks
    1 lb Mixed nuts

    Set oven @ 250°F/121°C.

    In a sauce pan, melt all butter with the Worcestershire
    and garlic salt, until well combined.

    In a turkey roasting pan, add 2 cups of each of the
    cereals, half of the Bugles, half of the pretzels and
    one cup of nuts. Pour half the butter over the mixture
    and stir until well coated. Add the remaining cereals,
    Bugles, pretzels and nuts. Pour the remaining butter
    and stir until well coated.

    Bake for 2 1/2 hours.

    By the way, Trump is not a convicted felon. He was tried and found guilty
    but he was not sentenced so he is neither convicted nor a felon.
