Title: Sharlotka (Russian Apple Cake)

Yield: 1 Cake

2 lg Apples
4 Eggs
1 c Flour
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 pn Salt
1/4 ts Baking soda
200 ml Cream (optional)

Pre-heat oven to 180?C.

Cut the apples into small chunks and place in an oven dish.

Separate the egg whites and beat both the yolks and whites
separately. Add the yolks to the whites and continue beating. Add
sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt to eggs and continue beating.
Mixture should have the consistency of smetana.

Cover apples with mixture and bake for 40 minutes.

Serve with pouring cream.
