Southwind Airlines cancells Minsk-Insanbul flight program
From Vincent Coen@2:250/1 to All on Tuesday, April 02, 2024 01:12:35
Southwind Airlines is cancelling the Minsk-Istanbul flight program from April 1. All booked applications will be cancelled, Pegas Touristik Belarus reports. They promise to take the tourists out (and some of them have already been taken
out of Istanbul), they are provided with accommodation and food. It is stated that organizational issues are being resolved.
Tourists are transported by various airlines, including Belavia.
Earlier it became known that Southwind Airlines was banned from flying over the
EU. This decision was justified by its connections with the Russian Federation,
since the airline’s affiliation with Turkey is only formal (in fact, it is Russian).
Southwind Airlines was created in 2022. It is assumed that it was founded to transport Russian tourists to Turkish resorts against the backdrop of Western sanctions. It entered the Belarusian market at the end of 2023.
