• Question about some @ codes

From Finglonger@VERT/SILENT to All on Friday, March 07, 2025 13:40:53
In my file menus I use a code like this:

"number of files in this area @ FILES @". This seems to work fine, and update as I move from area to area.

Howeever, in my messages menu I use:

"number of messages in this section: @SMB_MSG@" which kind of works.

The problem is the SMB_MSG output doesn't update dynamically. I can get it to display the correct number if I read a message and quit back to the menu. But if I move from area to area by any other means (cursors, Area change, etc). the Does anyone know a solution to that?

    Thank you.

The SMB_MSGS @-code only works (correctly) when the sub-board is already opened (e.g. for reading). I've added a MSGS @-code that you can now use to get the total message count for the current sub-board without it being open.

BTW, your QWKnet tagline seems to be missing something:
    þ þ silentnode.ddns.net

    How'd that happen?

The part between the equal signs is muted, because............ it's a
    silent node.

I mean, was it even there to begin with? Maybe it's not missing.

Look, I'm surprised I even got connected. I'll worry about that later lol. TBH IDK whwere it went. I think in my dovenet tagline I just backspaced over the starting bit between then \xde's, but I erased it all. Not sure why it's still trying to display it? Probably something Deuce did if I had to call it...
