    Did you follow that link? It says the error details are:
    "207.246.225.251: Fetching https://oldsynch.exalts.net/.well-known/acme-challenge/vQzMTt6aAeGJ7WF1Nqqufc0-tFRRQSnypLBombvZOwQ: remote error: tls: internal error",

    Is that a value URL? Do you see anything in your web server log output about a TLS "internal error" around that time?

    I read on the Letsyncrypt page in the wiki and saw that the script requires port 80 to be used. I was using a proxy between the internet and SBBS and had the web server using port 8080 locally. I turned off the proxy and set the SBBS web server to use port 80, then I was able to get letsyncrypt.js to run without error and get a new cert. Another fine example of RTFM. Thanks for your response!!
