Totally agree, thinking more about format - expiration dates and data
stored on the magstrip. Because, when you buy alcohol or antihistamines
at Target, they should be able to pull the information off of your
license just fine whether you're in California or Arkansas.
Aside: I bought a bottle of wine at Target last week. They didn't
bother checking my ID. Don't know if this was a policy change or if
they felt silly asking a 60 year old with lustrous silvery-gray hair
for his ID.
