I don't know. But I would imagine most 'new' homes being built likely have them. It's probably almost as common as having a toilet paper dispenser mounted in the bathroom these days.

That could very well be because now they're owned by Whirlpool. That seems to happen quite a bit.
Local homegrown company does real good, owners/boards sell it off for huge profit to a big umbrella company that doesn't give a shit about their product or their people, etc. Company takes a dive.. ;)
When i was a kid i worked in the place that did the fiberglass bases
for it and it wasn't a hot account back then. now they look like
plastic junk.
Doesn't matter what they look like, they work if used properly. Dropping a fork in the hole will never be good for it, though. ;)
I don't see why people want them. I barely used mine in 2 of my apartments.
Makes dishes and cleanup easier for the people that do use it. Not using them is always a choice, too.
