    I used HamTestOnline (tm) -- https://www.hamradiolicenseexam.com

Will def check into this. Thank you for the info. I just wish
IT certification exams were like this.

They offer a money back guarantee if you fail the exam. I studied
2 hours a day for 2 weeks (any more than that, and you will get burned out)...and went from Technician to General in 14 days, and General to
Amateur Extra 13 days later. It was the best money I ever spent in
    amateur radio.

You are taught both the questions AND the concepts, so you are
actually LEARNING something, and NOT just memorizing answers.

When you get to 80% studying (you study from the privacy of your
own residence, at your own pace), start taking practice tests. When
you start scoring 85% or better consistently, then you are READY for
the exam, and will likely pass. You can miss 9 questions on both the
Technician and General 35 question exams, and 13 questions on the
Amateur Extra 50 question exam, and it still counts as a perfect
    score!!

But, if after adequate study time and practice tests, you still
fail the exam, send them PROOF of the failure. They will CANCEL
your subscription, and refund your money. So, you either get your
amateur radio license, or your money back...YOU CAN'T LOSE!!

As a side note, Morse Code knowledge is NO LONGER REQUIRED for a
US Amateur Radio License. You can still learn and use it, but you
no longer have to prove that you know it.

not really. It seems they are going to start working on version 10 in the near future.

The best part is that while there
a fee for it (depending on how many
of the exams you want to go for) is
that they offer a money back guarant

Why not hamstudy.org where it's free?

i looked at the practice test for technician and it's laughable.
i hope the real exam questions are more difficult.

I would've gotten my money back had I failed the exams.
To me, I wanted to do more than just memorize answers.

I know it has been awhile since I posted messages, but I've been busy
with ham radio and square dance related stuff, and have only had time
to update the weather data on the BBS. I had an older QWK packet that
has 20 replies into it, and I'm adding more with this one.

We had a heck of a winter storm here over the weekend. North Arkansas
got more snow than sleet, central Arkansas got mainly sleet, while south Arkansas got sleet and freezing rain. However, Louisiana, Mississippi,
and other areas, were hard hit by the ice storm. Thankfully, I never lost power, but some areas will be in the dark for weeks.
