    Although the same game, I think I'd heard TWGS differs a little bit from TW2002; I'd heard some people still prefer the classic TW2002.

    They do. They play it here quite regularily. It's a telnet connect in 'doors'

    I am running my BBS on Linux, and from what I can gather I need to install DOSEmu version 1 (not version 2 as that has some compatibility issues)

    Follow my guide for using DOSEmu2. It works on Ubuntu. I highly recommend Ubuntu, it just works.

    My website is a bit funky right now so give it a few tries. I'm out of town so will get around to fixing it, eventually.

    Even if you don't use Ubuntu, you can at least use the information to create working synchronet ini files.
