I seem to be receiving a bunch of Mystic support messages in the dovenet chat echo. I thought it might be an issue on this end but I also noticed that the MSGID string in each one contains 'dove-gen@vert.synchro.net' which makes me think they came in my Dovenet QWK packet from VERT.

If you look at the BBSID of said messages, you can see that the messages seemed
to have been regurgitated from Retroverse BBS - which probalby went to VERT bef
re getting to you. But yes, I noticed it also - and it's definitely not an issu
on your end. ;)
Thanks. I read my mail in SLMR and don't see the BBSID. I always forget that I can log back on and check it. ;)

Are you not able to view message headers/kludge lines in SLMR?
I've never used it, so I wouldn't know.

Also, and FYI.. when you have time you may want to update
Synchronet. Rob has made a fix for the above line displaying
incorrectly (the symbols on each side of 'Synchronet'). If
Poindexter and Gamgee happen to read this, it will benefit their
systems, too. ;)

I get the two kludges above and that is it. Not sure if that is a QWK thing, a QWK configuration thing (i.e. how I have it configured), or a SLMR
thing, though.

Updated since February? That was when I last updated my board (to 3.20).

Noted! I last updated 9 days ago and will plan to do it again this coming weekend... Thanks.

I thought/assumed this was resolved, but apparently not. So I removed
the posting privileges of the "RETRO" QWKnet account until that sysop
can confirm they've fixed their cross-up.

FYI, I believe the first wave that came through had a BBSID of RETROVRS or something like that. It's definitely different this time around.

I had though I seen a dump of about 40 messages from RETROV
RS then they started coming in from RETRO
Hi All
Deepest, deepest apologies for the crossposting. Absolutely no idea what has happened, however only got told about it in the last 24 hours. I've been in the process of reconfiguring the mystic, which may have had something happening as I was working through things.
I've gone through the configs and everything appears to be OK.
Please reach out if it continues / happens again.
Again, terribly sorry for fat fingers causing issues!
Cheers

I did send a netmail to sysop@RETRO, but it seems you changed your QWKnet ID, so you have 2 QWKnet accounts on VERT now (and both x-posted dupes to DOVE-Net) - why?
And sysops were complaining about it both in this sub and in DOVE-Net General. Not sure what other notification you could have received.

Please delete the RETRO account. When I was reconfiguring mystic, I could find no details of the original dove account I had, so created a new one. Ended up finding the original details after alot of digging, so reverted back to the original account.
Believe it is all sorted now. Lesson learned and apologise again..
