Yep, there are definitely some systems with what I would call excessively-frequent ad postings. I have mine set to autopost every 10
days, which seems reasonable to me.

Yes, I'd say there are some echos that shouldn't have autoposts.

My point to the OP was that his "ad" didn't even have any content, and
he doesn't even realize it. Also I think his domain/address has changed compared to what is in the ad's origin line.

Unfortunately, at least in my opinion, there are more than a few "BBSes"
that get started up and then not checked or looked at for weeks/months
at a time. That's not what being a Sysop is all about.

I am not sure anyone is doing it here, but there seem to be folks that do
it in the FIDO BBS ads echo from time to time. When I was moderating that
one for a while, I would reach out to the sysops via netmail and ask them to check their settings. I might get a response and they'd fix it, but
usually I never heard back.
