16550 UART.  IS16550.EXE tests for the 
presence of a 16550 on ports COM1: - COM4:.
16550.EXE turns the 16550 FIFO on or off to
fix when programs leave the FIFO on at exit
(this can cause the port to not exist upon
a warm reboot or other programs to not 
recognize the port.  COMM.BAT shows use of

A-DATE is a little utility which will sort an
ARJed archive, pick out the newest filedate
within it, and use this date to datestamp the
archive itself.  This allows you to see how
old the archived program really is, instead
of merely when it was ARJed.

USERS.INF file, even with PCBoard
running, even with the file "locked" and
SHARE (even the OS2 one!) controlling
things.  Registered version can "steal"
a copy of files "locked" by many
programs, stores "copies" in a ZIP file.
Leaves file "locked" after copying.
